Global Water Intelligence (GWI), prestigiada firma de análisis de mercado en la industria internacional del agua, otorgó el Premio “Proyecto de Agua Residual del Año 2015” a la Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales (PTAR) “Agua Prieta”
Global Water Intelligence (GWI), prestigious firm for market analysis in the international water industry granted the “2015 Waste Water Project” Award to the “Agua Prieta Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).
GWI granted a recognition to the wastewater treatment plant that demonstrated greater innovation in terms of optimization of its environmental footprint and commissioning to be achieved in the year 2014.
The Project was developed by Renova-Atlatec Consortium through a BOT contract for a term of 20 years and was held with the Water State Commission of Jalisco.
The “Agua Prieta” plant, the second largest WWTP of its type in Latin America and the largest in México, has a treatment capacity of 734,000 m3/d of wastewater with a maximum flow capacity of 1.3 million m3/d, serving some 3.3 million people in the Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico region, and contributing to the Santiago River sanitation.
